Ginarjg,
You did not say why you are interested in WPW. However, if you have WPW you can have your bypass tract ablated in a very simple procedure.
Also, there is a research doctor at Baylor in Texas who has a current WPW research study ongoing. You can search and find her on the Baylor website if you are interested.
Thanks, that helps a lot! :)
Hi,
How are you? If you are referring to Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, or WPW syndrome, this condition occurs with the presence of an extra, abnormal electrical pathway in the heart and can lead to periods of a very fast heartbeat. This is present at birth and may include people of all ages. The cause of a small percentage of cases is due to an abnormal gene or gene mutation. It is also associated with some forms of congenital heart disease, such as Ebstein's anomaly. this link may help: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/wolff-parkinson-white-syndrome/DS00923/DSECTION=causes
Hope this helps. Take care and best regards.
