what is this...super painful

Hi ladies..
Was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before.
I have a lump...very painful and red....irritated I guess.
It's on my lower part of my vagina...
Right beside a 10 year old episiotomy scar.
I've never had anything before...no std's...not even a yeast infection...so I'm pretty sure it's nothing too serious.
But extremely painful.
It almost feels like a friction burn but it's not...I discovered it in the shower this morning...as I was washing..I had a pain down there.
Got out of the shower to take a look...I can't see much other than redness...my husband describes it
as red lump under the skin..about the size of a pimple...but looks nothing of the sort.
Any ideas what it could be?....or how to relieve the pain?...salt bath?...cream?
Thanx

I had one of those a few years ago and it hurts tons.  The Dr said to put a hot compress on it twice a day.  I thought it would kill me it was so sore.  Heat and a little pressure finally popped the cyst and it was cleared up.  They are called Bartholamus (spelling isn't right) cyst.  The other girl was right. You can get an antibiotic cream called Fucidine that helps to keep it clean and spreading of the infection

It could be a sebaceous cyst which should go away on it's own.  You can google it for more info.
