thanx for the advice.this is just 2 much for me 2 handle, all started when i was young and still no help! how hard is it 4 the gp 2 do there jobs properly???really not doing my mental health any good! just wish i could click my fingers and make it all go away!how are your problems now anyway?hope atleast 1 of us is ok lol x
hi hun,ive suffered from utis for almost 20 years now and like you i often have symptoms even when my urine shows no bacteria,i thought that this was normal after having children and only recently discovered this is not the case, now i have been told im suffering from bladder lesions and i am in agony for much of the time and it is only now i am seeing a specialist, please see a specialist hun and if youre not happy then see someone else before you do permanent damage to your bladderX
i have been tested for all kinds of things all the stds aswell.and this all started when i was 12. im very confused though because everytime i have the symptoms doctors do a dip stick test and tell me i have a urine infection then send off a msu and most of the time it comes back with no growth!i just dont understand. every time i go 2 hospital e.g had a fall and they wanted to do a pregnancy test to make sure i wasnt pregnant they came back and said i had a urine infection yet i had no symptoms. i know i need 2 see a urologist but the doctors are so awkward its always the same thing,"lets send off a urine sample, and put u on antibiotics" god it gets so annoying, but thanks anyway
Hi,
Thanks for writing in. Recurrent UTI’s suggest recurrent infection may STD’s or routine UTI’s due to immuno-compromised conditions. The other cause could be non infectious causes for inflammation of the bladder like interstitial cystitis and cystitis glandularis.
I would suggest that you get a cystoscopy done for confirmation and visit a urologist for further assistance on this.
