Hi,
The pelvic floor tends to weaken with age and especially so after a hysterectomy.
The TVT (tacking) should not have caused any problem that is causing the frequency UTIs.
However, damage to the bladder and ureters, even small nicks, will need to be ruled out.
If these infections have increased in the past 6 months, you will need to have your blood sugar levels checked to rule out diabetes.
Any weight gain, decreased physical activity, etc., could also contribute to the problem.
You can also increase intake of vitamin A and E, either as supplements or in diet could help prevent infections.

I am 52 year old female and I am not sexually active. This seems to have been going on for the past 6 months or more. I don't know of any medical conditions that you mentioned in my family. I had my bladder tacked when I had my hysterectomy in 2000 and I really have not felt the same down there sine.
Hi,
How long since you started having these recurring infections?
Is there any family history of renal calculi?
Causes of recurrent UTIs include structural abnormalities, such as vesicoureteral reflux, inadequate treatment of infection, infection resistant to treatment, renal calculi, prostate infection, poor hygiene, Infection from partner, etc.
Women are more prone to the development of UTIs than men.
Fluid intake should be in excess of 2000 ml per day and addition of citrus fruits and juices to the diet will also help maintain mucosal integrity.
Do post a few more details, including about your gender and age.
Regards
