Please help!

Hi, I'm now awaiting my 4th exploratory surgery. I'm really concerned about the whole situation as the last 3 have not turned up any results, and I'm still having the same issues. Since I was a small girl I've had the same problems. Frequency in urination, inability to fully empty bladder pain (especially post-coital, although taking all the percautions ie.urinating b4 and after, washing etc...).  A lot of times my urine analysis shows no bacteria, or very small amounts, although I'm feeling like i'm having the worst UTI, with the lower abdominal pain, pain/stinging during urination etc...Just recently I was prescribed a 5day course of Cipro and a 10day course of Levaquin. At this point I'm almost wondering if my doctor's trying to kill me(joke). Right now I'm still in pain despite the fact that I just took all these drugs, now I have a yeast infection that just keeps in lingering due to all these antibiotics, and my issues are still there. My family doc treats me like I'm a great inconvenience, keeps on feeding me antibiotics and sending me to urologists who can't seem to find what the problem is. It's been confirmed that I have no interstitial cystitis, and I also have no STDs of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas???

Hi, not sure why your doc keeps prescribing you antibiotics if there is no infection.  My doc was the same, they get sick of seeing you for the same problem, but there the doctor they get paid to figure it out, but still they don't it's very frustrating.  My problem seems similar to yours but mine was interstitial cystitis - to get rid of my problem my specialist put me on an acid free diet and 1 cranberry tablet every day, plus an antibiotic every time I have sex.  I also take acidophilus tablets, this has really helped me alot.  So maybe it could help you but not sure since Interstitial Cystitis has been ruled out, but thought i would mention it anyway!!!  Good luck!!!
