Because your eye infection keeps coming back it could be a lack of Vitamin A. Vitamin A is necessary for eye health along with Lutein and Bilberry.
I hope this helps and that your infection clears up.
Wishing you the best
Thank you very much for your answer. I do not have diabetes, nor thyroid problems, which only makes it more troublesome for me because I cannot identify the cause.Lack of vitamin A may be an issue. I'll have it checked.
I had similar eye condition for years. It was dry eyes but sometimes it gets inflamed. . My Eye Doctor prescribed Neopolymyxin Dexamethasone Opthalmic ointment thin layer to be applied to lashes for 3 weeks on the affected eye.. It worked. I have refill orders so it can be on hand if and when I need it again.
You could suggest this to your MD.
The ophthalmologist said it might be dry eyes, among other things. The Schirmer test backed up her supposition but she said we had to look deeper into the matter. I truly hope it is only dry eyes.
