Hi, narcolepsy and sleepwalking are different sleep disorders. Narcolepsy is characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, sleep paralysis, cataplexy where the person has episodes of loss of muscle function while awake, hypnagogic hallucinations and automatic behavior. Read Wikipedia on somnambulism (sleep walking) and you'll see that it is that condition and his age that indicated so called narcolepsy. A pill is contraindicated as the disorder in older people is not understood nor treatable. Finding an answer to the sleep walking will cure the 'symptoms' of narcolepsy.
