Hi, Worried.
I'm just like you--a poster today who's got some "maybe" symptoms and is worried and waiting for an answer to my question.
Reading yours, though, it seems like you're going to be fine.
It's supposedly hard to get an STD via oral sex, and presumably if you did get an STD that way, it would be in your mouth, not causing irritation in your vagina.
Now, any unprotected sex comes with some risk, but it's supposed to be pretty hard to get an STD from one exposure. Or, rather, at least not a guarantee. And your exposure was brief.
Finally, from what I hear, you wouldn't expect to feel symptoms after only a few days.
So, all told, you're probably fine, and maybe it's all just in your head or anxiety-based.
Of course, there are folks more knowledgeable than I on this forum, so it will be interesting to read their advice to you.
Until then, though, I'd counsel you to not worry.
Hi, thank you for your comment. It helps put my mind at ease a little, so I appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I hope you are right, I'll be interested to see if any experts reply and what they have to say.
Best of luck to you.
Thanks.
I find a few things are true.
One, it's easier to notice a low-risk situation in others than in yourself.
Two, anxiety can make things very difficult.
Good luck to you.
One last thought.
I'm going to guess you don't have an STD, just because you weren't in contact long and because they're not necessarily easy to catch in one brief episode like that.
But, even if you did, it's most likely something minor and easily treatable.
If you're single and weren't cheating, it's no big deal. Go to the doctor, get treated, get better, and be a little safer next time.
