STD and Ears

Hello,

Is there ANY STD that can effect ears?  I have been having trouble with ear blockage and now
have one ear that seems blocked.  I can hear but it is diminished in the one ear?

Thoughts?

Bobby -

Are you also jackinabox?  Or did you have a similiar experience?

If you are jack, and are using 2 names, please pick one and stick with it.  It helps us be consistent with the advice we give.

And I'm glad you have gotten it diagnosed, and hope you feel better soon.  :)

Followed up with a vist to the emergeny room because the ear would not release the blockage and I had some blood.  Turns out its just impacted ear wax, blood from trying to clean it and was given drops.

No, there are no stds that would cause this.

You do need to follow up with a doctor though.  This could be many things - ear infection, fluid in the ear from allergies or a cold, etc.  Its not an std.
