Well ive never had a c section before, but i think vaginal births are better. i gave birth less than 2 weeks ago and i feel fine. im still taking it easy but the pain is gone. im soo glad i didnt have to have a c section
Almost everyone I know had terrible experiences with their csection. Years later and still having pain from it and problems. I had an all natural birth with my 9lb 6oz son and can honestly say I am looking forward to going the natural route again. I was recovered very fast and left the hospital the next day. Everything went smoothly and I was only in real unbearable pain for probably 5 minutes while crowning. Then when he came out it was all over! Good luck and I hope you give your body the chance to do what its meant to :)
I absolutely hated my c section. It was the last thing I wanted. And it was the worst pain I have ever experienced and probably won't have any more kids because of it. The only good part was that I have a healthy baby boy who will be 5 weeks tomorrow. Recovery is different and maybe less painful for everybody, but I would do anything to have had a vaginal birth. I still have trouble dealing with the fact I had a c section. After all the complications I had with my baby it was terrifying.
very informative, thank you ladies. i have a dr appt tomorrow so this will be one of my questions i ask
Vaginal births I would think are better. Yeah they hurt at the time, but once babes is here, the pain is away. C-Sections are great at the time cause you don;t feel it, but its a painful recovery, and it takes 6-12 weeks to recover, plus as above poster said there is a high chance of infection etc. I wanted a natural birth, but after getting fully dilated I had to get an emergency section and my recovery was hell, I could hardly walk, it hurt to breastfeed with the weight of baby on my tummy, I got an infection, couldn't drive for 6 weeks. It's not something that I would choose to do if I had the option
I mean c section. Silly phone
you recover faster from natural birth than you do when you have a cartoon. Plus having an incision can cause problems, it's painful it could get infected and if you're not careful about bending or sneezing or lifting, your incision can pop back open. And when it pops back open it's not pretty, trust me I've seen atleast 2 of them when I was in nursing school. You would be on antibiotics and you wouldn't be able to breast feed when you're on it.
Most physicians won't just do a c section bc you want one. I'd confront your doctor about it and see what they say bc chances are they won't do it unless medically necessary.
One is a major surgery, the other is a natural part of human nature. C sections are wonderful for the safety of baby and momma, but I think it would be crazy to have a purely elective c section.
