Thank u guys now i understand , i knw i got it from my father side of the family. His family gets sick alot. I never gotten sick where i had to be in the hospital but my sister did just once.
You only got it because both if your parents have the CF gene. You have the positive genes so it depends on if the daddy has 1 positive gene. That's the only way your baby could have it. But they can test the baby. And it's treatable. You'll have to take meds and if you get the flu you'll have to go to the hospital. But it's treatable. One of my friends have CF.
Apperently ms jenz21 my doctor was in a rush to get of the phone so i didnt really undastand wat she was sayin so yea i did ask n didnt understand which is y i asked is which is y dis app is here to ask n get help on any questions i have .
My little brother has CF! If you and the father are both carriers of the gene then the baby will more than likely have it. There are different types of cystic fibrosis mutations in which some are worse than others. Cystic fibrosis has to do with the thickening of the mucous around the lungs, most can't digest their own food, they have trouble breathing and are put on different types of medication. As long as the doctors catch it in time, you shouldn't have a problem. Although there isn't a cure, they can keep it from getting worse or causing death. I'm not saying it will be easy but just pray about it. It's a hard thing to go through & I'm sure it's even harder as a parent who has a chil with CF!
There is no cure for cf. I'm so sorry
Ment to say resesive gene not receive sorry
Cystic fibrosis is a receive gene of it baby daddy dosent have the gene then baby will be okay. Have you actually been diagnosed with cf or are you just actually carrier. I think there is a one in 4 chance of baby having cf if baby daddy has the gene. But your best talking to a genetic councillor about it. X
I don't understand how you don't ask this to your doctor. When u don't understand something u ask...
