Negative pregnancy tests, but have pregnancy symptoms

Hello
I am 24 years old and am very irregular. Since March, my cycles have been:

March 1 - May 5
May 5 - June 18
June 18 - still no menses

I have taken several home pregnancy tests, all of which came back negative. I went to my OB/GYN to have a blood test and check up done, and my results came in today as being negative for pregnancy and my LH and FSH are well within normal limits.
My doctor wants me to have a pelvic ultrasound done on in 2 days to see if I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I researched some of the symptoms of PCOS and I don't have any of them, other than the irregular cycles. I know that I am ovulating, because around the week of the 20th of July (not sure exactly what day it was) I took an ovulation predictor test and it said I would be ovulating within 24-48 hours.

My symptoms include:

Nausea (with no vomiting)
headaches (they have been constant for about 2 weeks)
Constipation
Gassy
Frequent urination (about once every hour)
Fatigue
Mood Swings
cramping (and general discomfort in my belly)
Loss of appetite
Swollen breasts (they do not hurt)
Back pain

Could it be that because of my irregular cycles, I tested too early? Or could it be something completely unrelated to my missing period?

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, Thank you

My blood tests came back and everything is fine. I am still having the pelvic ultrasound done on thursday, though, to rule out PCOS.

pcos can make you late and miss your periods that is what it did to me and i didnt even know i had it until my doc did a blood test to find out what was going on and why i couldnt get preggo. but if you had the blood test it should have shown up on there that you have.
