Do you really need to use newborn diapers for the first few days baby is here.

Thanks ive been debating on wether i should ise them or not i think i will wait till he is born to see what size fits him best befor i buy any new born diapers

i did on my daughter with the umbilical cord cut out but it's NOT necessary.. unless your baby is little.. my daughter was 8lbs 12ozs and could fit size 1 from birth.. just tuck the front part of the diaper down under the umbilical cord so it doesn't rub before you strap it and it's the same as the cord cut outs on newborns! :)

Use the diaper that fits. My kids were both full term but wore preemie diapers for a month before they had big enOugh butts for newborn size. My youngest is 10 months in a size 3 but I think she is small enough still for a 2.
