Blood as in type alone, no. But you can have platelet problems or need to have blood transfusions in uterero. Trust me, I just delievered my baby yesterday at 31 weeks after going through hell.

But, it is very rare. But can be checked.

My Rh factor is negative and my husbands is positive. We haven't had any problems conceiving. As we have twice now without trying.. my first borns rh was positive and i bled a lot through the pregnancy and needing the rhogam shot several times throughout my pregnancy. I'm on my second pregnancy haven't had any bleeding baby's perfect so far and I'll probably end up only needing the recommended amount of the rhogam shots. I am curious to see what my sons blood type is as that could possibly be part of the reason why this pregnancy is easier.

i agree with sorenr... if your talking Rh factor they can test to see if you have antibldies towards it and there are shots like she said.... the Rh factor doesnt cause MCs in the first trimester either, its effects(if not treated) are towards the end of the second trimester towards the third.... as far as what i have been able to find reading up on it...

Hmm, I would have said no...what kind of incompatibility? Rh? I am Rh neg and my partner pos and we managed...I have had to have lots of blood tests to check that there are no antibodies against the + factor and have had to have antiD injections (they are known as rhogam shots in the US I think) to help prevent any antibodies being made, but other than that all has been fine, I am not even classed as medium or high risk. My ex,with whom I had 2 children had a different blood group and I needed no special treatment as he was Rh- as were my kids but they have different blood groups to me.

Yes. You can easily be tested though.
