Nervous for second baby breastfeeding

Is anyone else had experience breastfeeding more than one baby? Were they really different learning how to latch? What can I expect? I nursed my daughter until she was a year and I hope to do the same with my son. I'm nervous he won't be a good breastfeeder. It was one of my favourite things with my daughter.

Thanks :) I worried.last time too. It's just something you can't really practice beforehand so it's hard for a control freak like me to handle lol.

I had no issues with number 2 latching considering we noticed at 6months he had a tounge tie. As much as it is baby getting used to feeding I felt number 2 was easier to get through the beginning stage as I was more confident and new how to get a good latch quicker.  :-) good luck im sure you will be fine.

Thanks everyone. I bought the my Brest friend nursing pillow this time around so I hope it helps too. My first was nursing within half an hour of birth as well, but she had vacuum suction so I blistered, cracked, and bled. I just hope the next one isn't as bad.

Tongue tie is when the skin connecting your tongue to the bottom of your mouth is too long and you can't stick your tongue out very far and babies can't use their tongue to effectively remove milk from the breast. My hospital checks for it before you're discharged.

My second one was nursing within half an hour of birth. I was more comfortable with it and knew what I was doing

From the get go..  thus my milk came in abundance.  Leaky breasts since day 3.  With this second baby? He'll be 1wk tom and his latch is very shallow, causing me nipple soreness and low milk supply.  We're making improvements, but its still a process.  I never expected this.. :/

Yes depends on the baby.  My first son was an expert breastfeeder from the get

My second mastered it the first day. With your previous experience, you know how to get the latch right, and that makes a world of difference the second time around. If you experience any difficulties, make sure you check if a tongue tie is to blame - better to get it dealt with right away, before it keeps your baby from nursing or affects speech development later.

Thanks for replying! Did you find that their latch was good with both?

This will be #3 for me and yes #1 and #2 were very different. My daughter accepted it as a necessity but it wasn't her favorite thing. My son was soo into nursing. Lol he loved the boob. It'll be interesting to see what this one is like
