roseola HELP!!!!!!!!!

My 7month old son has had a fever for the past three days so I took him to the er and they said his fever is unknown so they sent us home the next day the fever was completely gone during the day he just started breaking out on his face so I took him to his doctor and his doctor said it was roseola and told me it would go away by itself the next day he woke up it was everywhere and he was itching all day long and not sleeping at all I called his doctor and asked y he was itching, because I thought roseola didnt itch he said maybe he is allergic to the ibuprofen that I was told to give him so he told me to stop giving it to him and give him benadryl and so I did it put him to sleep and this morning he is still itchy and the bumps are still all over i just dont know what to do i feel so bad for him and all i can do is cry i just want my happy baby back.

Honestly, if this were me, I would probably take him back to be seen again.  Rashes are easy to misdiagnose and although it's unlikely it is anything serious, my preferance would be to have him reevaluated.  I'm so sorry....it's so awful when our little ones are sick or uncomfortable.  I hope he feels all better soon.  Take care.

aww I know how you feel... in my opinion keep giving him the benadryl as the doctor said, the rash will last a few days , its does sound like an allergy ..try Calamine for the itch all drug stores sell it , its very soothing .dab the lotion on with cotton wool. If he seems worse or has a fever take him back again to be checked over ...good luck .
