pneumonia in children

My daughter has have a low grade on and off fever for about 6 weeks now. she had a chest xray done on thursday and showed pneumonia. She started on amoxicillin on thursday and azithromycin on friday. She had a fever again on monday night after her shower. today she felt warm to the touch but normal rectal and tympanic temp. shouldn't the fevers be gone by now because of the antibiotics? We live near phoenix az and she got tested for valley fever the results are still pending. I'm just worried. I really don't know what to do at this point. She's still very active otherwise.  Also aside the fever there are no other symptoms.

Thank you I was going to ask how old she is , there is bacterial and viral pneumonia. In viral symptoms appear gradually and are less severe in bacterial they get sick fairly quickly and have a high fever and rapid breathing. With treatment bacterial is cured in 1-2 weeks..viral  will last longer. There are vaccines now .The type of anti biotic depends on the type of pneumonia she has , as she has only taken the meds for a few days I would continue as prescribed but if indeed she seems worse and her temperature climbs it may be aswell to have her checked out again ..Good luck hope she better soon
