I'm so very sorry for the loss of your mother. :( You may want to seek advice through your primary doctor. Perhaps they can find you someone to help you through this grieving process. Again, I'm so very sorry. (((((HUGS)))))
It is possible that your symptoms are related to your mum's passing. My condolences, it is a difficult experience. Anxiety and depression are common occurrences with bereavement; however, with those symptoms, it is best to check with your doc, to make sure that nothing more significant is going on. These are also the same symptoms as a heart condition. If it is related to the stress in your life, there are some useful meds that can help with the physical symptoms, so that you can properly grieve your loss emotionally. It may also be beneficial to talk to a psychologist, who can help teach you coping skills. Best of luck.
Hi Lene,
Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post and share.
My dad passed a several months ago and I can relate to your sorrow and grief. My heart goes out to you.
Yes grief can increase pain. BUT don't assume that it's what is causing your pain. I had increased pain immediately after dad died....which I attributed to his passing...as he died in my arms. However two weeks later I ended up in ER and two weeks after that I was hospitalized. Seems while caring for dad I ripped muscles (and more, it's complicated) as I repositioned him in bed. What I thought was pain increased by grief actually had a physical reason.
Chest tightness should always be investigated. So please consult your PCP.
I hope you will keep us updated. We offer support, please take advantage of it...we're a great community. I'll look forward to hearing from you again soon. You'll be on my thoughts and prayers.
My Best to You,
~Tuck
