I have left adenexal cystic lesion as described inflammatory lesion with hydrosalpinx/chocolate cyst
Tanks so much for your advise and the web site!!!!
That realy depends on the type of cyst. They are usually seen in three forms.
There are:
1. Follicular Cysts, follicular cysts usually resolve on their own in 3-6 weeks.
2. Corpus Luteum Cysts are much less common then Folicular Cysts. Oral contraceptive therapy has been known to reduce the risk of the formation of the functional ovarian cysts. If they grow to large then they may have to be surgically removed.
3. Endometriomas or also known as Chocolate Cysts. These endometriomas are filled with a thick chocolate-type material, which is the reason they are known as "chocolate cysts". When this type of ovarian cyst ruptures, the material spills over into the pelvis and onto the surface of the uterus, bladder and bowel and the corresponding spaces between. Adhesions can develop because of this rupture and may lead to pelvic pain.
Here is a good web site about ovarian cysts, diagnosis and treatment: http://www.alternativesurgery.com/education/ovariancysts.php
Good luck to you and your sister!
