Pins and needles in right side of head at top

Hi
Has anyone experienced constant pins and needles in head almost like a burning sensation . I was diagnosed with ear infection about 6 weeks ago and given two sets of antibiotics. Ear is fine now but been getting a weird feeling of burning on left side of no and right side of head at top for last week
Been to doc 3 times and they said it might be neuralgia and wait for the cat scan
It is so annoying and has resorted in me becoming depressed and anxious I had thought the pins and needles were from anxiety but they are constant and only stop at night when I sleep
Please help has anyone any answers
Thought it might have been because I had taken so many antibiotics
My doc has now give more tablets amitriptyline for neuralgia but it is not pain just tingling burning feeling
Any advice would be great

Good to hear that you are getting MRI to check this out. And you are right it could be anxiety, so it is good to try not to think about this to much.

Hi, I have had pins and needles in the half of my face it did not feel like burning though. I also have it in feets and hands, more on the left side, sometimes it is bad, sometimes it is better. I have had this for 3 years, but when it came in my face it went away after few weeks. My neuro talked about neuralgia at first and did en EMG test to check it out, then he saw it was not neuralgia.

This can very well be something that goes away in few weeks. If not your doctor will likely do some tests to find out. I have found out that is best to not let this worry me to much. Hope this will resolve it self, good luck.

My best regards,
Dagun
