If people who had sickle cell couldn't have successful pregnancies, there would be no more sickle cell, since it is a genetically transmitted disease -- if those who had it could not reproduce, it would be gone. If the doctor was just automatically assuming that is why you miscarried, he is being a little casual in his diagnosis. On the other hand, if you are dealing with some of the issues that come from sickle cell, especially if you have been having some acute anemia, I can see why he might suspect a connection. Did he explain more clearly why he drew the conclusion that your condition caused the miscarriages?
Yea I know who you tlkin bout and that's wat ima do change doctors cuz I really dnt like wats going on but I know I'm nt having no babies no more no time soon
Sorry for your loss hun. I had a miscarraige a month ago. I have heard ppl getting different kinds of shots etc to help. Maybe you should get a new doctor and go to then before you get pregnant and ask what they can do. Maybe don't get pregnant until you find the right doctor who really cares and really wants to help you.
There's a girl in the 18-24 pregnancy group on here who had a lot of miscarriages and she's really helpful. I think her name is GordonBaby
