I also have a pain in my right testicle. It occurred after an injury to my lower abdominal muscle. However It's been for years that I have this pain. I would like to know that is it safe to use pain relief gels like Fastum gel or Dicloran gel on your testicles in little quantities...?
A man I know suffered a right L4-5 disc herniation. As well as RIGHT sciatica (leg pain), he suffered severe LEFT testicular pain, even more severe than the sciatica. After L4-5 laminectomy (spine surgery) he had immediate relief of the testicular pain. The right leg pain took a bit longer to resolve. Other people have mentioned cases like this.
coachd - yeh, it feels like they r being crushed. Its especially uncomfortable wearing clothes like jeans. I feel abnormal cause im so self-conscious about this all the time.
Its not that the pain occurs EVERY day, but my scrotum is alwasys really tight.
Is this the same kind of thing as u?
"Testicle ultrasound is an imaging procedure to examine the testicles and other scrotal structures. The ultrasound machine sends out high-frequency sound waves, which reflect off scrotal structures to create a picture.
There is no ionizing radiation exposure with this test. Ionizing radiation procedures such as X-rays carries a small cancer risk and may damage sperm, but this test does not.
Alternative Names:
Scrotal ultrasound; Testicular sonogram
How the test is performed:
You will be lying on your back with your legs spread. The health care provider will then drape a cloth or apply wide strips of adhesive tape across your thighs under the scrotum. The scrotal sac will then be slightly elevated with the testicles lying side by side.
A clear, water-based conducting gel is applied to the scrotal sac to help with the transmission of the sound waves. The ultrasound transducer (a handheld probe) is then moved over the scrotum.
How to prepare for the test:
Adults:
No special preparation is necessary for this test.
Children:
The physical and psychological preparation you can provide for this or any test or procedure depends on your child's age, interests, previous experience, and level of trust. For specific information regarding how you can prepare your teen, see adolescent test or procedure preparation (12 to 18 years). This test is seldom performed on children younger than 12.
How the test will feel:
There is little discomfort. The conducting gel may feel slightly cold and wet.
Why the test is performed:
The ultrasound is done to help determine the cause of testicular enlargement or the reason for testicular pain."
Here is an interesting site about the testicle.

If nothing can be found that looks like it can cause the type of pain you are having, look into nerves that innervate the testicles. Cysts, tumors, calcifications, growths, bone issues, soft tissue problems etc. can easily be seen by a number of tests. Nerves usually cannot.
never had intercourse, so it cant be cause of that. Plus ive had this since i was like 16 or 17.
Ive been to a few doctors, but because the surgerys so small theres only a few doctors there, and i think ive seen them all. After i had the scan done, they practically gave up, cause they didnt know what else to do!

Do not go back to that doctor that told you your pain/symptoms are in your head. That is what supposedly educated medical professionals say when they won't admit they don't know what is wrong. Do not accept that.
I assume you had a workup for an infection done. If not, please do so. I don't know what is wrong, but I just wanted to let you know that you need to keep searching for a doctor that will work with you and takes an interest in trying to find the cause of your issues. Certain tests will rule out certain things, but tests such as an MRI will not show nerve damage (just giving an example), so press on until you get a correct diagnosis. Good luck.
