MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Why had you got your X-ray chest done? Are you also having fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, chest pain or any other symptom? Opacities in a single lung can be due to tuberculosis, eosinophilic granuloma, pneumonitis, emphysema, chronic silicosis, fungal infections metastatic lung cancer, histiocytosis etc. These are only a few possibilities. Any X-ray has to be correlated with complete history and clinical findings. Further examination and testing by your doctor can help in determining what type of lung disease it is.
Take care!
