Was I the Carrier or was He?

Last week I had oral sex with a friend. Neither of us ever had any signs of herpes before. I following morning, my mouth was full of sores. I went to the doctors, they said I have herpes. He still has no signs and his doctor said he has to wait 5-12 days before being tested.
Since it showed up so soon and with soooo many sores, does that mean I was the Carrier or was He?

Ok, so what is Herpangina?. How do you get it and what is the difference between that and Herpes.... Could I have given it to him, if that is what it is?

No they didn't do a culture, they looked and saw sores in my mouth and throat and on my lips. And I had what I thought was Rug Burn on My Butt, but they said that was Genital Herpes...I never got sore on my VaJJ... Nor did he ever make penetration...

If the sores showed up the next morning In Droves, what else could it be..???

.
Also , He still doesn't have any sores and the his doctor told him to come in later this week, to get a blood test, said it was too soon for him to show up in his blood yet?

a mouth full of sores can be many things. did they do any testing?

herpangina isn't herpes simplex if that is what they said you have.

a mouth full of sores the next day isn't herpes simplex you caught from this partner. herpes doesn't show up that quickly.
