Question about testing.

Hello , I had sexual intercourse with a condom , where there was no oral sex with a woman on September 1, 2013 , and December 3, 2013 I had the bad idea to make a tea from the bark of a plant called " Barbatimão " to wash the genitals , where it caused me a terrible itching and tingling , suspected herpes despite already making long last sexual contact , which was protected . So I did a test on December 17, 2013 , in which , Herpes Simplex I and II IgG RESULT : CONTENTS 2.8

REFERENCE VALUE : INDEX LESS THAN 0.90 : NEGATIVE
INDEX 0.90 1.09 A : NOT DETERMINED
INDEX GREATER OR EQUAL TO 1.10 : REAGENT

METHOD : chemiluminescence .

The first question is as follows , the following information is correct ?
" Indices of herpes value greater than 1.1 are recorded as positive , HOWEVER , THOSE WHO PRESENTED BELOW 3.5 INDICES ARE AT RISK OF REGISTER A FALSE POSITIVE . "

Soon after I did another test on January 20, 2014 , this time more specific , distinguishing between the two types I and II.Os results were :

> Herpes Simplex II , IgG ANTIBODY RESULTS : 11 U / mL

REFERENCE VALUE : NO REACTIVE : LESS THAN 16 U / mL
DETERMINED : DE 16 A 20 U / mL
REAGENT : EXCEEDING 20 U / mL

METHODS : Enzyme Immunoassay

> Herpes Simplex I, IgG ANTIBODIES RESULT : 4 U / Ml

REFERENCE VALUE : NO REACTIVE : LESS THAN 16 U / mL
DETERMINED : DE 16 A 20 U / mL
REAGENT : EXCEEDING 20 U / mL

METHODS : Enzyme Immunoassay

The second question is as follows , with my last relationship was on September 1, 2013 , as aforesaid , the results of the following tests are reliable , or you have to take the test again with a few more months ?

That is a very clear result, you do not have herpes of either type.

It is not uncommon to have a positive on the combined test and then register negative on the type specific testing.

A good length of time had passed between the sexual episode and the testing to be conclusive about the negative result.

I do not see that you had any reason to suspect genital herpes in the first instance and pleased the testing has proven this.
