Herpes or strep?? I thought I had the cure then...

I was just diagnosed with vaginal strep (I think A) and it seems I have little yellowish /brownish scabs on my anus, is this normal?  That is where most of the pain from this infection is coming from now.

It burns and sort of itches. The itching/irritation just started today and I've had this for 4 weeks. Most of the 4 weeks it wasn't diagnosed.

I took Bactrim but that didn't work so I'm on cipro now. Is cipro a good antibiotic for this?

Could this be herpes or impetigo?

Any input is good, I'm desperate!

I posted this in another group as well.

All i can suggest is that it does not appear as herpes at all.

One more thing it seems prednisone shots help a lot if that gives you any information.

Thanks for your help, I'm super stress about this.

I start feeling pain and I find little yellow things that looks like scabs. I'm also putting colloidal silver, hydro cortisone, antibacterial and anti fungal cream on everything down there per the doctors order.

Pain started at 4 pm yesterday and continued through the night and I still have some this morning, not sure how long it will last throughout the day.

If they come and go within a day, herpes sores donot to this.

No, I didn't have them at the time I saw him, they come and go within a day.  Also, I should add I got a negative blood test for hsv2.

Since I originally thought my problem was herpes I was taking a higher dosage of valtrex to stop an ob but that never stopped this. Now I'm on cipro and I've gotten it.

Hi, herpes sores would not last 4 weeks. Did the doctor see these as well?
