this doesn't sound like oral herpes.
if you suspect he's had another partner, have you made him cover his bases with a full std screening and all done at the right times? chlamydia, gonorrhea and ngu after 1 week post encounter. syphilis after 6 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months.
I agree with Grace - no reason to think this is herpes.
Thanks for your response.. He did visit the doctor and was told it could be a viral infection. His symptoms has eased up, and he is feeling better, but I still wonder? Only time and a test will tell.. Until next time Thanks again...
Oral HSV2 is quite rare, not really a plausible possibility. It's much more likely this is just a viral infection going on, not necessarily a herpetic one.
He should be seen by a doctor to try to learn what's going on, consdering his symptoms have not subsided. If they feel there might be some sort of herpetic stomatitis going on, they can swab it.
Ok.. was told that he had sex with another women who possibly has Genital herpes. Looking at his symptoms that I explained earlier I started Googling and found herpes of the Esophagus? Could this be possible or could it just be viral infection like the doctors said it could be? Tryna come to some understanding as to why he's in so much pain right now we're getting no answers on the issue? Please help... Thanks again
Thanks for your response Grace. One more question, Could by any chance he's had unprotected oral sex with someone who has HSV 2 cause a problem of this sort?
this doesn't sound at all like oral herpes.
many viral upper respiratory infections that cause these sorts of symptoms. Even though it's only september, it's already cold/flu season.
