I didn't read your responses until Monday morning. I made it until today, and went to dr. He perscribed Toprol and a diuretic. Even my eyelids are puffy today. Scary. He just said take these and go to my cardiologist appt next Thurs. So still struggling. Nurse did say if I got where I was so short of breath or more chest pain to go to ER. That's what you get for living in a rural area. Thank you so much for your response and support. I am hoping these meds will help me make it until Oct 11.

The maxide  has helped quite a bit. I'm not nearly as puffy. Still S.O.B. but have been for about 6 months. He gave me 75mg, so it's working pretty good. The one thing I think is strange is my blood pressure is always low, around 110/65. Isn't this strange if you have CHF? Or is it that the heart can't work as hard?  Just have to get thru until next week. Thaks for the imput.

Hi, LLWB I am glad you went and they gave you the pills. Oct 11 is near now, but still far if you don’t feel better. The diuretic is very important. I take only 20 mg now, but back when I was in heart failure and had edema, they gave me much higher dose while was in the hospital. Call them or go to the ER if you feel the same! The water has to come down. Also be sure you don't eat any salty NONE. No salt at all! You will get out from that!
Don't mind to tell them how awful you feel!
They asked me how I was, ready for X mass? I said aha sure, ready for die.
I also said gave me that X -ray now I can't wait I feel dying.
We must take action if the system is slow. I hate to go to the Dr, before this hospitalization 4 years ago, I wasn’t in a Drs office for 6 years, but if IT IS A must we have no other choice!
Hope all will go well for you!!
