ear infection maybe?

I don't often post in here, and I am usually more confident in what's wrong when I'm feeling certain symptoms but this I'm not sure about. Just wanted to see if anyone else has an idea since it's the Easter weekend so only urgent out of hours or ER is open.

My right ear has been giving me bother for about a week now. Always kind of 'annoying' and full of wax in the morning. I would randomly get itchy/shooting pains through it. Last night I couldn't sleep on that side as it hurt me ear too much. I woke up this morning and had a bit of a head ache on that same side, now as he day as developed the headache is gotten MUCH worse, and I'm now getting an achy pain inside my ear. Although, the head pain is worse. My jaw also feels a bit stiff and my neck too - all on that same side.
I'm generally starting to feel unwell with it. Wasn't too bad when I got up - just the ear pain when something touched it but I'm feeling a lot worse now. That feeling when you're starting to come down with something.

Anyone an ideas what it could be? I'm meant to be working at 7am tomorrow morning, so just hoping it doesn't get much worse or I might be spending my evening in the out of hours!

I don't think I have extra wax though, that's the only thing. I'm off to the out of hours surgery shortly, as I called the doctor and they wanted to see me and examine me before of the pain it's causing around my cheek, jaw, neck adn throat. I can't even turn my head to the side where the sore ear is so they want to check it out. Most likely is an infection - I'm prone to them so some antibiotics and it should be fine. I need to work the next 3 days and can't take it off sick or anything so better to get it sorted now.

As for keeping the wax under control apply a few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide
in your ears make sure to tilt your head to the side.

That's what I thought. I took some cocodamol and that eased the pain of the ear, head, neck etc so it's only a little painful now. I still feel like I'm coming down with something though, so I'll just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I'll head to out of hours.

It sounds like an ear infection and possibly wax buildup causing blockage. Your local doctor or urgent care can treat this.
