3 years of stomach pain

for 3 years i have been in the most outrageous pain of my life. I have been diagnosed with celiac, they removed my galbladder, i have constant acute gastritis, and a dairy sensitivity (dairy, not just lactose). I am 23 years old I eat 100% gluten and dairy free, i have not drank alcohol in almost 1 year nor do i use other drugs. I am sore, tender, swollen, puking, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am so swollen/bloated to the point that people ask if i am pregnant. They have now told me just to deal with it. I take 80mg of prilosec,  75mg of phenergan, 2mg of klonopin, 16000mg of neurotin, and 400mg of carbmazebin a day. Which at this point do not help at all. I have had endoscopies, colonoscopies, emptying studies and many more tests. They say there is nothing wrong with my liver or thyroid. I need help, I need suggestions. I am at a loss for words on how my doctors, primary and gastro have given up on me. Please, any suggestions will help. I do not have other adults in my life to ask for advice, this is ruining my life.

Do you have copies of the results of the tests? It would be almost impossible not to see - at least - stomach problems on an endoscopy if you've been having that much trouble. What were the numerical results of the emptying test?

There is a condition that can occur after gallbladder removal - it actually starts before the GB goes 'bad' but often isn't diagnosed until after the GB is gone and the symptoms continue. It's called sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (SOD). The pain is described as similar to a GB attack and can be light or severe - enough to put someone on the floor, crying. Pain may 'wrap' the side and move into the R shoulder blade.

In order to find out if the problem is SOD, you'd have to be working with a specific type of GI doc - one who specializes in biliary issues. It's not something that's easy to diagnose or treat. If your GI doc is just a 'regular' GI person, he/she probably wouldn't know a lot about it.

Have you ever had elevated liver/pancreatic enzyme levels in all the tests that were done? Have you ever had those levels measured within 12 hours of a serious attack of pain? That's one of the parameters that would have to be looked at. Have you ever tried using a med like Bentyl? It's an anti-spasmodic med that can sometimes take down the pain IF it's due to spasms of the common bile duct or sphincter of Oddi which are the suggested issues that contribute to SOD?

Im very sorry you are going threw this.  I suffered major digestive problems for several years.  I went gluten free and most of my issues resolved. What i would do is take a high grade liquid vitamin, you must have a vitamin deficiency...my thoughts are you probably cant tolerate grain. period. I would try the grain free diet. paleo or something along that line.  Our bodies can react badly to any grain, not just gluten!  good luck to you and God bless

I usually only throw up when I eat, which has been suppressed by phenergan but I cannot always take phenergan as to not risk becoming tired at work. But when I have a gastritis flare I cannot even keep down water so it is mainly bile that comes up then. The pain is different every day. It  is usually higher up, right under where my chest bone starts (right where my bra sits) which I have been told is an acid problem. Sometimes it is lower, but in the center, always above my belly button. Today it hurt on my left side especially. Unfortunately I do not know what gallbladder pain feels like, they took out my gallbladder because I was throwing up everything I ate 3 times a day every single day. After removing it, treating my gastritis and prescribing be dozen of different medications, my doctors have given up on me. I am in more pain now that I was before my gallbladder was removed. This ALL started at once. I was healthy and within 2-4 months I was diagnosed with all of this. This is my third year. Thank you so much for your comments, you have no idea how much the smallest suggestions will help me.

Kattat, what are you bringing up when you throw up? Bile or acid? With the presence of both celiac and cross reactivity to casein, have you been further evaluated for other food intolerances? It's not impossible especially when celiac and casein problems have probably 'trashed' your small intestine. You should be further evaluated for IgG and IgA reactions to other foods.

When you say pain, where is the pain located? Does it in any sense resemble gallbladder issues, or something different?
