I have digestive issues best categorized as IBS-C. I have a Gastro and have done recent colonoscopy and endoscopy.
I have acid reflux with cough and constant throat clearing. I believe it has progressed into my nose/sinuses. The inside of my nose is often irritated and mucous-y despite not being sick. It doesn’t ever go away.
My Gastro put me on prescription Pepcid and I take with dinner. Also taking meds for IBS-C.
I am overweight and beginning a prescription weight loss injection since I have been unable to lose weight on my own and I have other health issues associated with weight.
Anyway, thoughts on the recurring nasal irritation being related to reflux? Should I see an ENT instead of Gastro for this. I sound sick with cough and blowing nose even though I feel fine (just annoyed with my nose).
Side note, occasionally I get a sore bump inside the tip of one nostril. It never goes away but sometimes gets bigger/sore. I think it’s unrelated to acid except maybe exacerbated by it.
Welcome thoughts and any similar experiences.
