relsoved ectopic pregnancy-should I test again?

Hi!
You answered to one of my post  almost 2 month ago.
I had IVF on february 2007 that resulted in ectopic. My levels were high (10.000) but the Doc.decided to use Methotrexate anyhow.
He gave me one shot on February 24 and a second one on March 6.
In June I was still struggling with beta levels at 30 and I was afraid to have trophoblastic desease.
After getting also a second opinion they gave me a third shot of Meth.
Now my levels are back to negative.
The doctor to whom I asked a second opinion wants me to test beta levels after 2 weeks and then 4 weeks to make sure they stay negative.
My RE said there is no need ,that it was only a persistent ectopic and just to start prenatal vitamins to do a FET in October.
Do you suggest to test?Should I start the prenatal vitamins? Thanks in advance,
Miky

I became pregnant in Dec of 04 and had an ectopic pregnancy. My beta levels were fine when i left the hospital and for 2 weeks after that. My beta levels were HIGH and i ended up having gestational trophoblastic disease. I was put on chemo untill they went to 0. Durring this time my beta counts were tested every week. After my count was 0, I still had monthly beta count draws for a year. I would keep up to date on them. Anything can happen and i found out the hard way.

I do not know if you read answers too.
I just wanted to let you know that I called my primary RE and asked to be tested anyhow.
I'm going tomorrow and then in 2 weeks.
regards,
Miky

I am sorry - this is a question that I cannot answer as it pertains to direct medical management. You are asking me to give a third opinion on your care rather than to answer questions about infertility.
