Hi,
I am 22 years old male. I have made some 6-7 visits to eye specialists since the age of 10. I have lost my reports,so I don't know what exactly was the name of disease but it looks it is Solar Retinopathy. Anyways let me explain.
I have 6/60 in my right eye and like 60/65 in left, that is how one of the doctors wrote. I was told that I had a eye scar on macula, so everything I see with only using my right weak eye is vague. They asked me and I confirmed that I had tried to watch a solar eclipse when I was a child of about 8-9 years. I used x-rays image as I thought that it could be un harmful but I also saw the sun with naked eyes. I didn't realize immediately but sometime afterwards that I cannot see with my right eye. The doctors told me that they don't have any cure for this but maybe in future something is possible. But when I visited one of those doctor again after a gap of 10 years (first I checked with him at the age of 10) , he said it can NEVER be treated and there is NO hope. And I should stop going to eye doctors.
There has been no improvement in my right eye's vision in all these 12-13 years.
My right eye is practically useless right now. Also my left eye has short-sightedness since 2 years but that I has resolved with using glasses (with zero correction on the right eye) .
So, I just want to ask you people that what should I do? Is there any treatment possible?
Thanks for your time :-)
