I had cataract surgery one week ago. I was -11 in my left eye.
I just noticed they included the Implant information in my surgical bag.
They implanted a:
HOYA PC-60AD.
Power: +15.50 D
My question is, right now, a week after surgery, I'm +3 farsighted. So I went from -11 to +3. I was +4 the day after surgery. I was told as the eye heals and implant settles in I should approach 0.
I know the calculations are not always 100% accurate, but just from simple math, -11 + 15.5 = +4.5.
Is the implant typically overcorrected like this to account for how the eye/lens heals after surgery?
Thanks, and sorry for all the questions lately.
