Let's take this one step at a time. First of all even though you feel rotten try...just try and get a little exercise. It will help your lungs and overall health. Next....quit smoking. I did and even though it's hard, you're better off for it.

In the meantime, get all the tests you feel you need to get at the heart of your problem but DON'T and I mean DON'T dwell on your parents death and think you're gonna end up with the same fate. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and if he/she doesn't listen then find one that will.

Take one step at a time and hopefully then you'll start to feel better. I know that anxiety can make you extremely ill and so can depression. I have seen it with my friends.

I am ill right now and have been going to doctor's for the past 3 months with still no diagnosis but the good thing is that they have ruled OUT many of my major concerns.

Good luck to you.......Abbey

Hi,

I read your post and I want to let you know how sorry I was to hear about your parents' deaths.  I lost my Mom to stomach cancer as well.  I can only suggest one thing for sure is that in order to heal your ulcer you must quit smoking.  Smoking really aggrevates the ulcer - I used to be a smoker!!!! They don't think that stomach cancer is hereditary, but, s.t. a nonhealing gastric ulcer can turn into stomach cancer.  So try to heal that ulcer, and you should feel better.

Good luck to you!

I too am very tired all the time and have gained weight the last year.  I think it's mostly because I just don't feel like doing anything.  I don't have the answer for you, just a coment.  Isn't it funny that when you are over-weight, that the doctor says if you would lose weight you would feel better.  I have been told that so many times.  I want to yell at them, ya!! well if you would take care of the pain that I'm in so I could feel like doing something to lose the weight maybe you would feel better.  Sorry, But not all the problems you are haveing is because of the weight, the weight is because of the problems you are haveing.  I do TRULY TRULY UNDERSTAND THAT. And I don't have a PHD.
