put some oregano and vaporub on a cloth and the put it on the microwave . leave on baby's chest the warm cloth over the night.that helps them so much.also you can rub warnm wax with vaporub on the baby's chest.

My daughter is 2 years and 7 months old and has started school. As such, she gets a cold almost every month. I've been giving her Mucosolvan to thin the mucus so she can blow it out of her nose. This month, just when I thought her cold is gone because she didn't sneeze and excrete greenish mucus anymore, she develops a cough. It's been a little over a week since she started on Mucolvan (I gave it at the first sign of the cold), and I've bought another bottle of the medicine. My question is how long is the treatment with this drug and what are the side effects, if any.
Thanks.

my baby frequently gets cough and cold and is always put on strong antibiotics by his pediatrician, this time round at the first sign of a bad cough i started him on mucosolvan, is that ok, i am also concerned that he might develop a resistance to antibiotics which will result in him not responding to treatments. pls help

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Mucosolvan (Ambroxol Hydrochloride) is used in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory tract disorders associated with viscid mucus, and is not currently available in the U.S.

Generally, for children that young, doctors recommend humidifiers and nasal saline drops with blue bulb suction to clear secretions rather than starting with medication.  Check with your doctor if they think Mucosolvan is ok.
